The Mini Mamushi is an experiment on how far you can take an already popular EDC style knife and shrink it while still having enough blade length for a useful cutting edge and enough handle for a comfortable grip. Both a reduction in handle size and blade length, the Mini Mamushi drops 1 1/4″ of overall length from the larger Mamushi while still retaining a useable 3 1/4″ cutting edge. The larger Mamushi with a 3 7/8″ blade is not that far off from the mini version, but that reduction in overall length makes a noticeable difference when pocket carrying. The shorter handle is also just long enough for a good hold for even larger sized hands. We find this to be an interesting model in the Osprey lineup and worth exploring as a great EDC fixed blade or bushcrafting neck knife.
