The Warthog is another Osprey knife that has been around for a while. It was designed to serve as a compact EDC (Every Day Carry) knife. It actually started out in two variations, the EDC and the Hunter. The Hunter was a smaller drop point intended for hunting and bushcrafting purposes, but was later redesigned into a new model. The EDC became to be simply known as the Warthog as we know it today.
This current evolution of the Warthog removed the guard and slightly increased the tallness of the blade. We think it makes for a more attractive and useful knife. It has been some time since we have seen one with a guard, so you know the guardless variation is a popular choice.
